Scott tutted. "What now? Have they found out she takes cocaine yet? Or has she spent another fortune on partying again?"

"No. Apparently she's started bringing her deadbeat boyfriend round and they've been having noisy sex in the middle of the night. Lizzie is very upset and talking about leaving home."

John and Christine, and their daughters Lizzie and Riley were close family friends of the Smiths. Riley and Kim, both 13, had been in school together since kindergarten and had been friends ever since, though now they had drifted apart. Lizzie, Riley's older sister, was 15. Although the girls no longer played together their parents remained very close friends and both families had even gone on holiday together the previous summer.

Riley had always been very attractive, even as a very young girl. She had very long, thick wavy light blonde hair like her mother. The Smiths hadn't understood why John and Christine had agreed to this until recently it dawned on them that Riley was not only bullying Kim (and who knows how may other pupils at Lincoln Middle School) but was also bullying her own parents.

The doorbell rang. Scott opened the door and invited John and Christine in, shaking John's hand and kissing Christine on each cheek french style. "Come in." Scott said, "We're in the lounge. Can I offer you a drink? Red wine?"

"Yes please," John replied.

"God I need a drink!" said Christine as they walked into the lounge to greet Karen.

Scott handed out glasses of wine. As he handed Christine her drink she said, "Thank you. Has Karen told you the latest about Riley?"

"I hear she's been having noisy sex with Brian at your place?" he said trying not to laugh and trying not to get hard.

"Yes. She woke us up last night. Her metal bed was scraping and banging against the wall and she was screaming. At first we thought she was being raped and John almost burst in on them but we quickly realized she was enjoying it as she was screaming 'Fuck me! Harder! Fuck me harder!' Scott and Karen knew more of Brian's background from Kim. He was a lazy pot smoking bum who did little more than watch porn and take drugs. He had a job at a local supermarket where he met Riley when she was shoplifting vapes. He lived in a small apartment in a shitty part of town with his father who was an unemployed pot smoker.

Brian was old ground; Christine and Karen had already discussed at great length. "I know," said Christine. "It woke Lizzie up and she's very upset. She was in tears and says unless we throw Riley out she's going to leave home. All nonsense of course. John is going to talk to Riley, aren't you John?" she said to him.

"Of course," he replied.

The Smiths knew this would come to nothing. Riley had her parent wrapped round her little finger and ruled their house with constant tears, tantrums and foul language. Her drugs habit (and probably Brian's) were basically paid for by extortion of money from her parents. The Smiths knew her awful behavior was caused by the drugs she was taking but Riley's parents had no idea. Scott couldn't understand why John didn't beat his daughter and bring her to heel. Scott thought about stepping in and doing that all the time and his mind started to wander. He quickly snapped out of it.

Eventually Riley's parents left and Scott and Karen could have a heart to heart. Scott said "Thank gods they now know Brian and Riley are having sex. Finally! Of course they don't know about the cocaine yet. What the hell to they think Riley spends hundreds of dollars on for fuck's sake?"

In actual fact Riley wasn't a regular cocaine user.  She had bragged about using coke but the truth was she had tried it once at an older girl's house party. She usually did molly or smoked weed.

Karen said "Well last summer was the final family holiday we have with them!"

"Pity." thought Scott. He had enjoyed watching Kim and Riley sunbathing and playing in the swimming pool. He had taken rather too many holiday photos with his phone. He said "Well at least John and Christine are starting to find out what a little bitch Riley is. I wish they would protect Kim and Lizzie better and throw Riley out on the streets."

Scott thought back to the last time the whole family visited. As the family left and kissed goodbye Riley had remained in their entrance and kissed him secretly.
