As the last of my cartons were toted down the ramp of the removal truck, bound for a destination where they would settled in my new home, thoughts of her returned to me. For most of my life, I lived on the estate my family had possessed for well over a century. Recently, for personal, mental, emotional reasons, I leased the property out, transferred the deed to my children and moved into much smaller accommodations. Already, I missed the old place, but it held too many memories of her. It was something I couldn’t bear to think about for long.

My daughters had flown the nest years ago and without the joy they brought to my meager existence, my wife had been the only bright spot in my life for the last three years of hers. It had been over a year since she passed and the house seemed to be so big and empty without her. I felt hopeless and lost until I stumbled upon a love that quickly turned my world around and gave me something to live for.

The back garden of my old place bordered a large common which was rocky and not very green, except for meandering brambles, but who’s redeeming feature was the confluence of four streams and a lovely pond. On the other side of the common was a long row of cottages and the children who lived there, loved to play in the common. I never really taken a noticed to children until after my wife passed and I began to spend more time there on strolls I took when the walls began to close in on me. It was very peaceful and the sounds they made were musical and brought me a little joy and happiness.

During the summer months, I usually took my ventures through the common near mid-morning, before the heat rained down. There was enough shade that you could always find a cool spot for a picnic lunch. Many times, I would idyll away in a quiet location and read, and then have my sandwich before wandering back to the estate. There was not much for me to do since I brought in a charwoman several times a week to clean and cook. My time away left her undisturbed during her duties.

It was a very dull and quiet existence I lived and I was not much into the tele, except for the news sometimes, or an old film. I got most of my news from the paper, but didn’t always read it. Every once in awhile I would find a magazine at the newsagent that caught my eye. That was how I got into photography and even purchased a camera that I played with in the common or would take trips to nearby country locations to hone my skills. It was more of play exercise to keep my wits sharpened than something that I seriously wanted to pursue at first.

I had savings and money from the sale of my business to hold me over, but no desire to take on a new profession or ever get back into the business world. If I managed my money, I should not be want for anything for the rest of my life.

It was during one of my photographic excursions that I met her, or rather she met me, after she spied me taking pictures of her. I guess it piqued her curiosity and she decided to take the first step.

A lot of times, when I ventured out with my camera, it was in search of a photographic subject that I enjoyed and could stick with. I played with animals, architecture, landscape, nature, objects and symmetry, but found that I enjoyed photographing people unawares, in a relaxed and natural setting. It also led me to discover the elusive voyeur within me that had remained hidden below the surface most of my life. To that end, I purchased a semi-professional, high resolution telephoto camera that could also take video in high definition for two hours with high capacity memory cards. They were a real killer in price and were almost half the price of the camera.

I also discovered a small, palm sized camera, with optical and electronic zoom that was almost as capable as my high end camera, but the memory cost even more than the camera. However, in the end the extra memory was worth it. At least for me, but more so in the capable hands of my new friend.

Armed with my kit of cameras, accessories and memory cards, I made my first excursions into the area towns, and then into several surrounding cities in search of subjects. However, I had not considered the giant central park that was not far from my home and one I had never frequented. The upside was the great expanse of green and a playground for children. My first outposts were the benches on the edge of the park with the aid of my telephoto lens. It allowed me to survey the entire park for the best locations. I immediately found subject material and caught many nice shots of people eating, drinking, relaxing and strolling.

After a month or so of these excursions and thousands of photos, I discovered the subject I enjoyed the most, were children, especially at play. I became fascinated with the patterns of behaviour they displayed. Eventually, I picked up on their habits. There were certain areas that they frequented and participated in not so modest enterprises; sometimes with members of the opposite sex. I was able to capture a number of these encounters on film.

Some of the antics I observed left a throbbing bone propped in my pants. Later, I enjoyed a most wonderful wank while I watched the photos and videos on my tele. After that, it was time to bring out the big artillery; my tripod, telephoto lenses and of course, a portable chair. That was when I moved in closer to the action for better shots, but still remained mostly unobserved at a non-threatening distance. After all, I didn’t want to frighten my subjects away, but merely record what they were up to.

However, I did manage to arouse attention, but not from adults, which were by far the minority. Several girls, ranging in age from about six to twelve, wanted to be models and loved to have their photos taken. Some of them got naughty and would flash their knickers at me and even their bare bums. A few of the bolder ones even let me shoot their splits, but that was only the beginning. Yes, I raised girls and knew they could be very naughty, especially with their friends. But, there was still a lot for me to learn and it was my new hobby that led to a special relationship I never dreamed I would ever have.

After breakfast and my morning stroll, I would pack my camera kit in the auto and drive to the park. Then, I would set my camp up under a tree, that was in a triangle which allowed me to film the area where the children formed groups to engage in little unorganized games of football, seemingly without rules, which was adjacent to the roundabouts, swings and climbing frames. They were not far from the hedges and toilet blocks. One of my favourites were the climbing frames where the most immodest tots were inclined to hang upside down with their dresses around their necks or their little shorts and trousers halfway down their bums. I caught a lot of nice shots from the edge of the play area.

Quite a number of them would play for awhile, and then wander over to the toilets or hedges and form groups. At first, I figured they needed a wee but on closer observation, that was not always the case. So, I moved closer and closer to their more private play area and got remarkable shots of their antics. Sure, their were some that just crouched down for a wee near the hedges or a tree instead of going into the toilets. I don’t blame them for not wanting to enter the smelly bio-hazard area, which afforded me a considerable number of quality shots I would not get otherwise. But, the action didn’t end there. After they had a wee, sometimes they would have a little rub. Or, if they had their chums with them, they might do a little exploration of the other.

Most of the girls who discovered I was taking their picture, would take up silly poses directed at the camera. Some of them would flash their knickers or did little monkey antics. But, I was yet to meet the really naughty ones I captured at a distance. That was until one approached me… from behind.
