I wake up under a crudely built shelter, looking around I see Vlex tending to some wounds "you need help there, buddy?"  He looks at me "No, I will be fine" he looks away from me "we are the lucky ones".  I prop myself up "what do you mean".  He says "the others did not survive the crash, we are the only two who still live" he then smiles and says "I believe we are on a planet near my Dactron, I used the reaper vessels equipment to put out a distress call on a frequency they should be able to pick up".

We decide to pass the time by talking, Vlex tells me about his people and mine.  He says the pink skinned Krellins are a great warriors are care much about honor, but are a crude and perverted race.  When I asked him what he meant he said they have sex for pleasure und shuddered in disgust.  The Krellins have a great empire with several other races subordinate to them.  The Dactrons are one of those races, his people care more about science and learning then anything else, though as part of the Krellin empire they do care about honor, that is why he owes me a life debt for saving his life.  Vlex goes on to talk about other races of the empire, The Marquantains have skin color similar to mine and Vlex's with long necks and large pointy ears.  Then The Lustorians, he says they are even more perverted then the Krellins, they seem to only care about physical pleasure and carnal desire, they look more like me but have pink or purple spots on their faces, necks, back, arms and legs.  He says there may be more, the empire is constantly expanding and he is more concerned with his life on Dactron, but these have been long part of the empire.  He then tells me about his family, his wife and child, his sister, and his parents.

Soon A large ship passes by over head "it would seem like my people have arrived" Vlex says.  The Dactron ship lands and looks like a ball with a straight tail with engines under the tail, in contrast the gray's ship looks like a traditional flying saucer.  A bunch of Dactrons come out wearing navy blue uniforms with black body suit underneath.  I don't see any of them wearing shoes, but I guess with feet like that it would be hard to wear them.  A few of the Dactorns try to attend to me, I shoo them off and tell them Vlex needs more help then me.  They take us to sickbay aboard their ship and all the Dactrons in sickbay are wearing white uniforms with red body suits underneath.  The doctors and nurses start clamoring around me "what is it with you people" I say "Vlex needs help more then me" all but one leave me and go about their business, a few tend to Vlex.  The one that stayed with me says "sorry it is not everyday we see a Krellin".  Ugh again with the Krellin stuff "I don't think I am though" she smiles and says "may I run some tests to make sure?" I nod "sure, I guess" and she pulls out some sort of scanner, as she runs the scanner over my body she says "I'm nurse Flura by the way" I put out my hand for her to shake "hi Flura, I'm Jason" she stares at my hand and I say "I want you to grab it and shake it" she grabs my wrist and starts to literally shake my hand.  I laugh and say "no like this" and shake her hand properly and she asks "do all of your people use physical contact in such ways?"  I shrug "never really thought about it, I guess.  I mean a hand shake is a common greeting on my world". "Hmm interesting" she says. Flura goes about her business and I soon meet a doctor.  According to them I'm at least part Krellin and my wounds aren't bad but they would ask I spend the night in sickbay for observation.  Every now and then Flura comes and talks to me and Vlex says its because she like me.  

The next day we're given clothes, it's basically their uniform but mine is too long and way to tight, I have to roll the arms and legs up to better fit.  We get escorted to our quarters and I see a window for the first time.  It looks like we are still on the planet, I ask way and am told "we are trying to figure out how to load the reaper vessel onboard, it is quiet large and the Krellin will want it when they retrieve you".  Me and Vlex try to get adjusted to our quarters when our door chimes, we open it to see the ships captain "greetings, I am captain Gratts" we introduce our selves and he takes us on tour of the ship, ending in his office.  He motions for us to sit in chairs across from his desk, we sit down and he says "I am happy to have a Krellin onboard, you are the first anyone has seen in years" confused I ask "why is that?"  He dead eyes me for a moment before saying "Ah yes I almost forgot, you are not from Krell, my apologies sir.  The Krellin have kept to them selves for quite some time, a few decades now to be exact, We do not really know why but we have heard rumors of a civil war.  Now the reason why I wanted to meet with you both, besides the fact you are guests on my ship and you being one of our Krellin masters, is... this is hard to explain..." he takes a deep breath and continues "I'm not sure how it happen but the only record we have of you, Vlex, is of a young male born 10 years ago".  Vlex has a confused look on his face and to be honest I probably do too.  Gratts continues "when we searched our record for you and only came up with a child, we did our research and DNA analysis proves you are both the same person.  Furthermore we scanned the reaper vessel and it along with the surrounding area of the crash site shows signs of a temporal anomaly"  Vlex slumps in his chair and I shoot up on my feet "a temporal anomaly, the fuck does that even mean".  Gratts says "I am sorry sir but it would appear as though the reaper vessel uses engines that even we are not familiar with.  We surmise that either when you attacked the bridge or upon the crash, based on the energy signature of the engines, a temporal anomaly was made that caused the ship to travel back in time approximately 20 years" I sit back down, defeated.  I realize that even if I had the ability to return home I wouldn't be able too, no intelligent species would allow for such a butterfly affect to happen.  Gratts says "I understand this is a lot for both of you to take in.  We shall have the reaper vessel loaded soon and need to meet with a Krellin vessel in a few days.  If the rumors are true I hope it's a side that suits you Jason, in the mean time you both will have full access to the ship, and Jason, you may use my crew in any way you see fit".  We begin to walk back to our quarters when Vlex says, to no one in particular "how do I get to the lounge" all of the sudden panels on the side of the ship light up showing the way we need to go.  "Are you sure you want to go to the lounge, Vlex?" I ask and he responds with "My wife does not know who I am yet, my daughter does not even exist yet, by all accounts I cannot even return home for 20 years as I cant exist yet.  I need a drink, the lounge is the most perfect place to find alcohol, is it not?"  I nod "I understand, buddy.  Lets get a drunk" and with that we head to the lounge.  

When we get there Vlex orders the strongest drink they have and asks for the bottle.  I match him drink for drink and he starts using contractions and showing real emotions, soon a staff member come over "I would ask you take your friend back to his quarters, he is being... unseemly"  I try to defend Vlex "I get it but he just received bad news that I don't think anyone here could really understand, so if you could just..." I get cut off by a familiar voice "I will help you escort him to your quarters" I look and see Flura only wearing her red body suit.  She helps me get Vlex to his feet and as we try to leave he drunkenly grabs the bottle,  the staff member says "he cannot take that from the lounge" Flura removes the bottle from his hand and places it on the bar.  We finally get Vlex to our quarters and lay him down on a bed.  I thank Flura and she says "I am sorry about your friend, I am not sure what news he received but it must be bad for him to be like this in public" I nod "yeah it was bad, real bad".  She asks "does it affect you too" I nod "kinda, not on the same level, but yeah".  She looks me up and down and I notice an odd look in her eyes "but you are still able to function, yes" I nod in agreement.  "Good" she says "I am doing a study of inter species mating habits, would you be willing to help me?"
