“Nooo..!” You respond with a somewhat indignant tone to your voice. “He doesn’t ever touch me like you did with them!” For some reason, you realize you are starting to feel a little angry, but you can’t really pin-point exactly why.


You can see a complicated look on Charity’s face. It seems she can somehow sense you’re telling the truth, but she can also sense several things are wrong. “Really?” She says, “he doesn’t do anything with you?” Did you actually manage to fool her?


“Uhh.. nnn… no.” You respond, you can feel a tight feeling starting to form in your chest as Charity glares at you. You can’t stand being under her scrutiny. She would never care about you before you changed yourself like this, and now that she suddenly does care she’s about to make your best friend out to be a pedophile. “Wh… why do you care!?” The difficult feelings inside you suddenly burst up. “I thought you hated me!” You can feel a hot feeling starting to develop in your eyes.


“What!?” A look of surprise and shock so strong that she physically recoils washes over Charity as her eyes bulge and she begins looking at you cautiously. “Lexi! I.. I don’t hate you! Why do you…”


“Yes you do!” You explode back at her, swinging your arms up and hitting the bed as you direct the ferocious look of a wounded animal back at her. “Ever since before mom told us stuff about making babies you started being mean to me! And you also didn’t let me play when you were doing those things with Angel, Bastian and Roni!” A shudder comes over your body as you just finally got to say the thing that had been bothering you for a long time, and then you have to sniffle as the snot begins running out of your nose about the same time the tears really begin overflowing from your eyes.


“What!?” Charity responds, a startled look of realization crossing over her face, but before she can say anything there is a timid sounding knock at the door. “Who is it!?” Charity demands in an angry tone.


“Charity?” You hear Roni’s timid voice from the other side of the door.


“Not now Roni!” Charity cuts her off.


“But… but I need to go to my baseball game today.” She says.


“Oh my Goood!” Charity growls in exasperation. “Roni, I have to talk to Lexi for a while! Just get your stuff and go down stairs.” Charity breaths out a sigh and then looks back at you. You are trying to put on a look of angrily looking away from her, but really you feel that, now that you’ve said the things that are bothering you, you REALLY want to see what her response will be so you are constantly shifting your teary eyes up to look at her and anticipating how she is going to respond.


Charity seems to be having a difficult time figuring out how she’s going to respond to this, but before she can say anything you hear the impending approach of another interruption from the hallway. “I… is Charity in there?” You hear the voice of your NOW twin sister Angel talking to Roni.


“Yeah.” Roni responds, and then in the next second the door-knob starts to jiggle, but since it’s locked the effort is useless. After this, there is a really insistent knock.


“Charity! Ch.. Charity!” The somewhat panicked voice of your sister, who you suddenly realize you have the same kind of affinity for that you used to feel with Charity, comes across the door.


Charity lets out a heavy sigh at this. “Whaaat!?” She demands, shooting you a quick glance before directing her attention back to the door.


“Charity… I… I need help!” She says in a worried tone that has Charity already responding and in the process of standing up from the side of your bed.


“What’s going on!?” Charity asks.


“I… I’m bleeding! I’m bleeding a lot!” She says.


“What!?” You hear the voices of both of your other siblings, Bastian and Roni, out in the hall. “You’re bleeding? Where?” Roni asks.


“I don’t see any bleeding!” Bastian says.


“Oh, can this day POSSIBLY get any worse!” Charity takes a couple of steps toward the door, but then she stops as though suddenly thinking of something and looks back at you. “Lexi! Put your pants back on!” She orders.
