The kid is smarter than your average 4th grader, so he would try to do something that wouldn't draw too much attention, <I>BUT</I> if he lets his emotions take over, he'd subconsciously think of something along the lines of "don't let any harm come to the goddess Audrey" and accidentally turn the car to dust, causing the MIB to be onto him sooner. Reversing time is a bit overpowered for him to be able to do at first. Time stop is still tremendously powerful, but is as far as I want him to be able to go for a while.
