==Overview of Naivete==
==Overview of Naivete==
NOTE: The Naivete mechanic has gone through a complete overhaul.

Naivete is broken down into two main categories, social and sexual. Social naivete represents the child's awareness of things that should make them not blindly trust adults, whereas sexual naivete is a lack of knowledge of things having specifically to do with sex.
Naivete is a stat that is the result of things the child does not know. If they do not know a lot about the world, particularly in so far as sex is concerned, they are easier to take advantage of. The naivete stat doubles as a boost to the "trust" stat, providing +1 point to their willingness to accept things they are uncomfortable with for every 20 points of naivete.

===Social aspect of naivete===
There is a base-line 73 points distributed among various pieces of sexually related knowledge and/or experiences the child may have been exposed to, and an additional 27 points that are granted at age 4 with 3 subtracted for every year they are older than 4. (this represents various non-sexual experiences they may be exposed to in their daily lives that make them less naive.)

Lower levels of naivete represent the child becoming less naive. This is always goes in only one direction, from more naive to less naive. There are no natural conditions that can cause a child to gain social naivete.
There are also a few bonus naivete point losses if seeing your genitals is the first time they have ever seen the opposite gender's genitals and they were not taught the difference between boys and girls before, and also another bonus 8 points lost the first time they are rapped. These experiences will result in their naivete potentially hitting zero far earlier than it would have otherwise.

Lv. 0, 0
Each sexual knowledge or experience is worth 1 point unless it is listed otherwise.
*Not naive at all, cannot be fooled at all.

Lv. 1, 1-5
*Very aware, cannot be easily fooled or taken advantage of.

Lv. 2, 6-10
===Has heard===
*Has a well-formed concept of the idea of "concent," and the social implications behind it. This is the minimum to boldly stand up to non-consensual sex acts. They will whine and complain about non-consensual sex acts before this level and ''maybe'' tell about it, but at this point they will be capable of actually making assertive efforts against it using whatever social tools are available to them. (Within their personality of course. In other words, they will react to non-consensual sex acts the same way you would expect an adult to.)
Has heard someone say something about this piece of information. Does not imply understanding, but is likely to come up as part of being taught.

Lv. 3, 11-15
*Boy's and Girl's privates are different
*Will be innately aware of the complex emotionality surrounding acts of sex, even without a concept of sex they will kick over all sex acts to the "love" domain with the possible exception of their very first sexual experience.
*Girls have a hole in their privates that isn't where their pee or poop comes out of
*You can touch your privates to make yourself feel good (Progresses quickly to understanding after "has experienced" is achieved.)
*Another person touching your privates can feel even better
*A boy's privates can go inside the hole in the girl's privates
*Putting a boy's penis inside it is what the hole in the girl's privates is for
*Babies are made when mommies and daddies do something called "sex"
*Sex is when the boy's penis goes inside the girl's vagina
*Something white called semen can come out of a boy's penis
*The semen comes out when the penis feels good
*The semen is what makes babies when it gets in the girl's vagina
*There are people who will have sex with you when you don't want them to
*Some boys/men like to have people suck on their penis
*Some girls/women like to have people lick their genitals
*Boys can have sex with boys by putting it in the butt
*The penis can go in the girl's butt too (0)
*There are pills a girl can take to avoid having a baby when they have sex (0)
*There is something called a condom a boy can put on his penis to avoid getting a girl pregnant when they have sex
*Condoms can have flavors to taste good if you suck the boy's penis with it on (0)
*Condoms can break sometimes, it's rare (0)
*Condoms can break sometimes, it happens a lot (0)

Lv. 4, 16-20
===Has seen===
*Is aware enough to predict when you are about to ask them to do something they may not be comfortable with that would be considered "bad" in the eyes of the public.
Has seen this thing or this action occur

Lv. 5, 21-25
*The opposite gender's genitals (1 / 2) ^
*Gains a concept of sex-weariness, becoming conscious of sex acts as something they can't be brazen about. Kicks anything they acknowledge as an activity that is "for lovers" over to the "love" stat instead of "touch." Applies to kissing only if they have not yet developed a concept of sex.
*Semen
*Someone having sex
*Someone being raped (2)
*Someone having oral sex
*Someone having anal sex
*A condom (0)
*A condom on a penis

Lv. 6, 26-30
^ Is worth 1 if they have seen the opposite gender's genitals before arriving in your care. Worth 2 if seeing yours is the first time they have ever seen the opposite gender's genitals AND they have not ''been taught'' the physical difference between boys and girls.
*Minimum for conceptualizing the idea of sex. Above this point, even if they know individual details, such as the parts fitting together and even that it makes babies, they will be unable to conceptualize this idea and will more or less think of it more as a game. It will not feel real to them even if they have the knowledge.

Lv. 7, 31-35
===Has been taught===
*Has the concept of adults lying, but still figures everything a trusted (40+ trust) adult says is correct, and will only be mildly suspicious of adults they are comfortable with (20-40 trust.) Will start with a trust of 21 for any adult (you) their parents introduce them to as a trustworthy person.

Lv. 10, 46-50
===Has experienced===
*Has almost no weariness or concept of someone doing something "bad" to them that doesn't involve physical pain. If they're not being hurt or scared, they will figure it's good. +30 starting touch if naivete starts off at this level.

===Sexual aspects of naivete===
NOTE: 2 points for the first 2 sexual experiences, 1 point for the 2 after that, zero for the last one. 1st non-consensual sexual experience is worth X5. (10 if it was their first sexual experience, 5 if you had had consensual sex with them a few times before that. These 5 points will be deducted from naivete regardless of whether or not this rape was done in a manner they have already experienced consensual sex)

Each aspect of sexual knowledge represents 5 points of total naivete. The lack of 1 of these pieces of knowledge contributes 5 points to naivete, and then gaining any piece of knowledge on this list removes that 5 points from total naivete.
*Sex with a condom
*Oral sex with a flavored condom (0)
*A condom breaking during sex (2)
*A condom breaking more than once during sex (2)

*Knows the concept/frame-work for the idea of "sex" (acquired automatically upon learning either about sexual intercourse or where babies come from, provided the social naivete is below 30. If they have engaged in sexual intercourse while their social naivete was above 30, it will no longer count and they can only gain this by learning where babies come from. Must have this concept of sex in order to connect the "sex makes babies" and "physical mechanics of sex" concepts to each other. Thus, both can be known independently of each other but the child will not connect them until their social naivete gets below 30.)
*Knows what the opposite gender's genitals look like
*Knows about the female vagina (entirely possible for girls to not know about it)
*Has discovered masturbation
*Knows babies are made through "sex," an activity "mommies" and "daddies" do. (can be acquired first by itself, or automatically upon learning that semen makes babies. Knowing the mechanics of sex is not required.)
*Knows the physical mechanics of sex (the penis goes inside the vagina. Does not necessarily connect it to the concept of sex.)
*Knows about semen (That it exists and comes out of a boy's penis)
*Knows semen makes babies (Does not need to know this in order to know that sex makes babies)
*Knows the full biology of sex (Must know the concept of sex in order to learn this properly)
*Knows about the emotional complications of sex (Must have social naivete below 15 to get this one)

===False sexual knowledge===

Represents a corruption in the knowledge from above. False knowledge cannot be gained without a total naivete of at least 30. Possessing false knowledge adds 3 points to total naivete. They are considered to also have the knowledge that this false knowledge is a corruption on, so this means there is a -5, +3 total result to the total naivete, for a net -2.
===Understands===
Highest level of comprehension. Fully grasps the concept.

WIP
*The basic idea of sex. (allows them to have the ability to process that there is something significant to the penis going into the vagina and how this can make a baby even if they don't know exactly how the biology works.) ()

*How to perform sexually (3)
'''Disbelieving'''
*The full biological basis behind sex (2)

*How to avoid being taken advantage of sexually (5)
Disbelieving is a trait a child can pick up where, sometimes if you explain how babies are made right after having sex with them, they may be in denial and refuse to believe it and convince themselves the truth you just told them was actually a lie. Every disbelieving trait is attached to a specific piece of sex knowledge, and it actually reverses the naivete effects (+5 naivete instead of -5) and also prevents some other pieces of sex knowledge from lowering naivete.
*The emotional complexities attached to sex (10)

The disbelieving status can be gained on the "babies are made through sex," and "semen makes babies" sex knowledges, and if they are disbelieving these things then they are unable to gain the "Knows the concept/frame-work for the idea of 'sex'" knowledge, and the "Knows the full biology of sex" knowledge.

Disbelieving has an additional effect of capping out trust at 40, beings they cannot trust you too much or else they will have to admit you may have been telling the truth about what you did with them making a baby. If they have both disbelieving traits, the cap on trust is lowered to 30. If their trust is higher than this cap at the time they gain the disbelieving trait. (how trust higher than the new cap will be handled is up to the coding side to make a decision on.)

The disbelieving trait can be removed by them being provided undeniable evidence that sex/semen makes babies. This evidence can take the form of them discovering they/you are really pregnant, being told the same thing by their parents, or being told the same thing by one of their friends at the daycare. There is an extremely high risk of you getting caught if they find out through their parents.

NOTE: The "know it all" personality has the highest likelihood of becoming disbelieving, and the "curious" personality has the lowest.

Overview of Naivete

NOTE: The Naivete mechanic has gone through a complete overhaul.

(this represents various non-sexual experiences they may be exposed to in their daily lives that make them less naive.)

Each sexual knowledge or experience is worth 1 point unless it is listed otherwise.
