Using the Eye of Odin, Santa can cause ANY effect. The strength of the effect is the only limitation to the magic the Eye provides Santa. The magic of the Eye is unlimited in scope but not truly omnipotent as there are limits in potency. Not sure if possible, but I could see Santa sharing his memory of "his" first encounter with krampus and then asking James if he thinks Krampus was in the right for treating children that way. If James thinks Krampus was wrong, ask him how he would punish Krampus... Yada yada, James becomes Krampus, and the soul of the old Krampus is now in James's old body.
"Krampus" has a choice, allow the new Krampus to torture him, or use the single bullet on himself.
