Upon nearing finishing his breakfast, Michael decided that a nice trip to the park would prove to be pleasant.
After finishing, he picked up his bike and rode off on his way, hoping to enjoy the sight of the picnics and nature there.
Upon reaching the park entrance, he dismounted and walked through the open field area of the park where most of the people were enjoying the nice weather, and as he looked around, to his surprise, he saw Elizabeth and her parents tossing a flying disc back and forth. He called them out and made big waves with his arms so that they could notice him as well. They turned around and waved back at him before he came over to the spot they were in.
"Didn't expect to see you here today!" Michael commented before looking down at Elizabeth. "How are you enjoying your bike?"
"I like it!" she replied. "I have it over there by that tree."
She pointed to where it was propped up. Michael looked over at it as her father threw her the flying disc. He was just about ready to leave them to their business and enjoy the nature when she passed him the flying disc after she'd caught it.
"You can join too if you want!" she offered with a reassuring smile.
Michael took it from her hands and threw it back at her father. Her parents didn't have any complaints, so they let him join in.
As they continued tossing, they all made conversation, enjoying the hot sun above their heads and the soft grass beneath their feet.
"Is throwing a flying disc around your favourite outdoor activity?" Michael asked Elizabeth.
"No, mini golf is my favourite." she replied.
"Oh, yes, she just loves mini golf." her mother commented. "It's the only thing she ever insists in competing in, and always has so much fun with it even when someone scores better than her."
The day went on, and eventually, Michael and Elizabeth decided to ride around the park together, under the parents' supervision, of course.
"I like any kind of music, I guess." Elizabeth replies to Michael's question. "But I really like One Correction! And I really liked when Zack was in it! I cried so much when he left!"
Michael smiles and hides an eye rolling at Elizabeth's girly talk, though he thinks it's cute. As she opens up more to him, her parents gradually place more trust in him.
Eventually, her parents call her over as it's time to go home.
"Aww, but I'm having so much fun with Michael!" she complains.
She accepts her parents' insistence on leaving, though, and walked her bike with them, waving back to him as she departed.
"Goodbye, Michael!" she called out.
Michael waved and called out back to her. He smiled and felt good about himself after she was gone, taking another trip around the showcase of the park's nature before heading off himself.
