Sally considered her options. She could try to find some clothes without being seen. That would probably mean stealing... no borrowing, she corrected herself. She would simply give them back once she had her own clothes on. That was fair... but it still didn't sound easy. Or perhaps she could work her along the backs of the businesses that faced Main Street until she reached a smaller road. It sounded plausible, but she wasn't sure exactly how visible she'd be.

A naughty thought occurred to her. It would actually be kind of fun to to use the playground equipment while not properly dressed. No one seemed to be in the park itself at the moment. And hey, maybe staying put was actually the right idea. Her dad was probably already looking for her, likely with clothes. On the other hand, he had no idea which way she'd gone, so someone else could find her just as easily.

Well, she wasn't lost. That was something at least. Through the trees, Sally could see the playground of a park she recognized. Officially the Rupert Erickson Legacy Recreation Area, after some old railroad tycoon, everyone in town simply called it "the big park", since it was by far the largest they had. She didn't come down here that often, as she considered a bit far to walk, but she knew exactly where she was.

In fact she was briefly pleased at having found a shortcut, but on thinking back, she wasn't at all sure she could retrace it. That also meant she would have to find another way home. The obvious route was the busy street on the far side of the park. Well, busy is relative, it was still fairly early, on a weekend, in a small town, but she could see the odd car going past, and someone walking a dog. And in her current state, that might as well be the whole circus. She'd be far too visible walking there, unless she could make herself decent first somehow.

Sally considered her options. She could try to find some clothes without being seen. That would probably mean stealing... no borrowing, she corrected herself. She would simply give them back once she had her own clothes on. That was fair... but it still didn't sound easy. Or perhaps she could work her way along the backs of the businesses that faced Main Street until she reached a smaller road. It sounded like it might work, but she wasn't sure exactly how hidden she'd be.

A naughty thought occurred to her. It would actually be kind of fun to to use the playground equipment while not properly dressed, and she seemed to have the park to herself at the moment. And hey, maybe staying put was actually the right idea. Her dad was probably already looking for her, likely with clothes. On the other hand, he had no idea which way she'd gone, and someone else could find her just as easily if she hung around too long.

What will she do?
