Like her sister Stephanie, Lauren has gotten very into Manga from Japan. Only, unlike her sister, she has gotten a lot more interested in some of the more culturally Japanese stories such as Norogami and Ghost Hunt, those which contain a lot of Japanese spiritual stuff. She is lucky that most people from town simply dismiss the entire format of writing as heretical and wouldn't read any of her books, because if they did then she would be in a lot of trouble for all of the Shinto content in them.
She does not actually understand a lot about Shinto, but her attraction to this kind of content seems to confirm all of the town's worst fears about this kind of outside influence. Biography

At present, only her sister Stephanie has read any of the books she is into, and she was terrified when she realized what her little sister was reading and advised her not to ever let anyone else see these.
