Knowing that enemies could be anywhere, you cast some defensive enchantments. You would rather be literally naked than walk out into the world without multiple layers of magical protection.
Holding your wand in your right hand, you point it at your left hand and incant "Protego Corpus" protecting your vessel.
You then point it at the centre of your forehead and say "Protego Psyche" protecting your mind from enchantment.
And finally, you press your wand against Emily's chest, where her heart is, and pronounce "Protego Anima" before pausing for a moment, and saying "Protego Animus"
It is hard to know how to protect your soul when it has both male and female energies within the pattern. You are also unsure if the girl's mind is protected from enchantments? Legimens is a threat and you know what to do about that.
The next stage of protection would be some enchanted clothing, as well as a more suitable wand. Fortunately, Emily is of an age where a visit to Ollivander the Wand Maker is perfectly valid.
What will your next move be?
Or do you need to talk to your allies next?
