In the morning, something makes you have another look at the books on the shelf. You find another Janet and John book and decide to take it to school to show Cyn. On the way to school, Mum tells you that Uncle Bob will be back today. He's been abroad somewhere, delivering stuff in his van.

You show Cyn the book at morning break, and you sit on the grass in the sunshine to look at it.

Janet and John go to School

The picture shows a little village school, not at all like theirs. There are kids in the playground and a pretty, lady teacher about to blow a whistle.

"Janet and John went to school."
"When they arrived at school, they saw their friends playing with toys."
"Janet and John wanted to play too but they knew that they had to learn first."

The next page showed them sitting in a classroom. The teacher is holding up a picture of a penis.

"Their teacher, Mrs. Smith, greeted them and asked them to sit down."
"She then showed them a picture of a penis and asked them what it was."
"Janet and John looked at each other and then said “cock”."
"Mrs Smith smiled and said “very good”. She said that the proper name was penis, but most people called it a cock or a dick."
"Mrs Smith wanted to know how many children had seen a real one. Most of the children put their hands up."

After that, Mrs. Smith taught them how to write the letter “A”. Janet and John tried their best but it was hard. They kept practicing until they got it right.

When it was time for lunch, Janet and John were very hungry. They ate their sandwiches and drank their juice. After lunch, they went outside to play with their friends.
