I know it may be counterintuitive, but the best way to respond to someone messaging your talk page is on their talk page. That way they get an alert that you left them a message. Otherwise they might miss it. --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 16:42, 5 December 2021 (CET)

I just noticed that you are trying to indent your paragraphs.  The internet is set up for block formatting.  We have to find work-arounds to use traditional formattingI have created the  [[Template:Tab]] specifically for this purpose.  Just type <code><nowiki>{{tab}}</nowiki></code> in front of every paragraph you want indented and it will look like standard formatting rather than block.  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 16:58, 5 December 2021 (CET)
Sorry to see you go.  We'll be here when you get backTake care.  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 14:25, 3 January 2022 (CET)

I'm not very technical; but I don't think that confirming your email is actually necessary.  Is there anything that you feel isn't working correctly due to not confirming your email.  You are showing up as an autoconfirmed user; so it is likely the site owner has email confirmation turned off ore something.  As I said I'm not very technical.  Give the nature of the ATF sites; it wouldn't surprise me if email confirmation is not required.  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 16:50, 7 December 2021 (CET)

First, the CSS on your talk page is rather disconcerting.  I understand wanting to play around with the stylesheets; but maybe your talk page isn't the best place to experiment?  This is where we have to come to communicate with you. Getting visually assauted when we must talk to you probably isn't the best idea.
I have so many random ideas about who Kate could be. It makes you kind of mysterious….. --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 20:54, 11 January 2022 (CET)

Secondly, the reason I originally came to your talk page.  When you create a category page for your story, add the story type as a category for that category page.  I have done so for you with your story Siblings.  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 14:03, 9 December 2021 (CET)

Images require categories too please.  If not the story category, the category UserImage.  You have also been forgetting to add your category to story pages. If it helps, the category can go anywhere on the page. Putting it at the top of the page before you write anything at all might be a good way to remember to do it.  Thanks. --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 16:16, 10 December 2021 (CET)
Hmmm… well, I could easily see Kate being perhaps a girl you were first attracted to, maybe something happened there or maybe they were just a fantasies so now you decided to write about them instead. My money is on that one. But she could also be an early mentor, of sorts. An older relative or babysitter that was a bit naughty, perhaps. --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 00:15, 12 January 2022 (CET)

===Hope===
Because thats no reason to remove a story from listing to which you are not the author to.
Hope did edit your story without permission, and is therefore guilty of this infraction.  I do not believe that they did this with the malice of forethought.  Unfortunately, some users don't bother checking the permissions area before contributing.  Generally speaking a gentle reminder should be sufficient.  Everyone is human, and can make a mistake.  (rule 3.3) '''Guilty by editing counter to the story's editing permissions.'''

The only reason Hope is on the Hope account and not the Santa account is that I lack the technical ability to help them retrieve it.  The Hope isn't using two accounts, I just don't know how to get them back their original account, so it is vacant. (rule 9) '''Hope is not guilty, as they are only Hope, not Hope AND Santa.'''
on an entirely different note, holy fuck is your css cringeworthy and out of place --[[User:Foalpoots|Foalpoots]] ([[User talk:Foalpoots|talk]]) 17:12, 10 February 2022 (CET)

Santa/Hope was not blocked for disciplinary reasons.  There is a flaw in the blocking system that autoblocks entire ISPs.  This can inadvertently block innocent users.  I have struggled with this quite a lot.  It's annoying because even after clearing the autoblock it sometimes pops back up.  Santa/Hope was never banned themselves, and is therefore not circumventing a ban.  (rule 13)  '''Hope is not guilty, as Hope has never been intentionally banned.'''

I can reprimand Hope for their infraction of rule 3.3; but since that is a one warning infraction, I feel it would be rather harsh.  I think it would be more fair if you let Hope know that your story is not to be edited without your permission instead so that they won't make that mistake in the future. You might even make a friend in the process. If you wish me to make a formal warning let me know; but I would prefer not to.
Thanks, I’ve definitely thought about adding accordions but the length doesn’t bother me that much. I was thinking it might be nice to do it for the extra stuff I’ve added that isn’t my work but we’ll see. I’ve spent so much time formatting everything that I don’t feel like changing much at the moment. It’s honestly shorter than most of the writer pages on ASSTR. I kind of like the idea of breaking things up in to separate pages. But that is more work still. It all depends on how bored I get, I suppose. --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 22:48, 10 February 2022 (CET)

(Again I wish you would not use the CSS you are using on your talk page.  I tried to use lists for the above, and they were unreadable due to the formatting.  It's your page, so you can do what you like with it; but it is a headache to message you this way.)  --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 16:43, 10 December 2021 (CET)

===Talk Subpages===
Damn, you’re definitely not wrong. I’m pretty sure when I designed my author page You only had a few stories up. Now your stories list really is super clean. You don’t even have to collapse it. I’ll probably do something similar at some point. It is a good little project, though. --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 17:09, 22 February 2022 (CET)
The only problem with creating subpages for talk pages would be if one were to delete the supporting page, the subpages would not be deleted, and would become orphaned pages. I was actually thinking of getting rid of the sub-pages that I have on my talk page for a while, instead making them their own section; I just haven't had the time.
* '''TL;DR''':  You can create talk subpages if you want to, but it could create problems later. --[[User:Elerneron|Elerneron]] ([[User talk:Elerneron|talk]]) 14:46, 13 December 2021 (CET)

Thanks, my stories section is much easier to comb though now. I'm going to save the rest for some other time--I'm not even sure what I want to do with the open stories or favorite authors at this point. As long as my stories are easier to browse through it what really matters anyways. --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 09:15, 24 February 2022 (CET)
I saw you started a story, and was wondering if you'd accept requests. You have posted for no one to contribute, but there's a generally accepted way for readers to show that they are enjoying the story by posting a request on the page at which choice or branch of the story they'd like to see fleshed out. Would that be acceptable to you? --[[User:Notsooldpervert|Notsooldpervert]] ([[User talk:Notsooldpervert|talk]]) 13:49, 5 December 2021 (CET)

I have now changed the rules to include this as an option, thank you for bringing this to my attention. --[[User:PrincessKittens|PrincessKittens]] ([[User talk:PrincessKittens|talk]]) 14:02, 5 December 2021 (CET)

I saw that, and requested the path I'd like to see. I have written the start of a couple of stories, but I'm not satisfied with them, and usually lose interest in writing when I can't make them go where I want them. --[[User:Notsooldpervert|Notsooldpervert]] ([[User talk:Notsooldpervert|talk]]) 15:08, 9 December 2021 (CET)
Well that’s super annoying, but not the end of the world. I don’t have any backups of that story yet, so I’ll just rewrite it better the second time around. You can make it up to me by writing a story about Naomi Wildman. ;) --[[User:Hgcollins|Hgcollins]] ([[User talk:Hgcollins|talk]]) 11:28, 26 February 2022 (CET)
