School Responsibilities
As the fourth grade teacher, she’s in charge of the 9 and 10-year-olds. She’s in charge of their classroom schooling as well as their physical education period since the PE teacher has to focus on the older students that are part of the organized teams.
She is also responsible for overseeing the school cheerleader squad, in which girls from grade three and up can participate.
On top of all that, in fourth grade is when students receive the dreaded sex ed class, and Sarah has yet to find a way to teach that without it devolving into a mess or the parents threatening to kill her.
Biography
She had to start working after her husband lost his job and was unable to find a new one. Their economic situation is why she's taken on so much extra work for the school, and they still can't get enough, mainly since her husband spends most of it on alcohol.
She’s especially worried about sex-ed this year since her own son is in her classroom.
