The boys aren't wearing beach gear. They are instead wearing jeans and black teeshirts, and one has a battered baseball cap on.

You start to your feet, pulling the sarong up to cover your modest breasts and begin to panic, but you remember that being seen was kind of the point. Still, as the two young men get closer, seeing you clearly, adrenalin floods your system. They begin to look directly at you, elbowing each other as broad grins break out on their faces, shifting quickly from confused smirks into self-congratulatory leers. You try to pretend you don't see them, going back to dancing like a sea-sprite, hoping they are watching but pretending you don't care.

As they close, their voices can be heard over the surf: "Dude, don't be gross, she's like 10 years old."

"'If there is grass on the field,' manno, 'play ball!'"

"Yeah, but there isn't any grass, dude."

"You aren't looking hard enough, manno. Peach fuzz. Gol-den peach fuzz."

You don't know what they are talking about, but it is becoming harder to pretend you don't see them. They are walking right up to you. Finally, you stop dancing and pull the sarong tightly across your shoulders so as much of it as possible drapes down your front and covers your crotch. All the while you are playing this as nonchalant as you possibly can. "Oh, hi!" you blurt out, hoping you sound cool. "Beautiful day, huh?"

Neither of the boys even pretends to look around as "manno" says, "Yeah, real pretty. I like your dancing."

"Dude" follows up with, "Hey, have you seen our dog?"

"Nope," you say, airly as you turn around, bobbing back and forth in a way you hope looks careless, but that causes the sarong to flare enticingly in the wind.

The young men chuckle and elbow each other again. "Dude" speaks up, "Hey, you want to help us look for him?"

"Manno" gives him a hard look, but you say:

"Sure, I'd love to!"

"No thanks. I'm good here."

"A dog huh? Maybe I'm a dog? R-r-ruff!"
