Nothing else has worked. You're worried that you'll loose your whole family in one day. You're desperate.
"Please Nobranelavel," you beg with your best puppy dog eyes, "let's just stay here like daddy said. If they pass us by, we can both go find mom and dad. If they get too close we'll run to Chitinbone like daddy told us to."
You sniff and snivel through your tears, and Nobranelavel seems about to agree, but then he gets a resolute look on his face. "No. You'll be safest here. I'll be careful. If I can't find them quickly; I'll be back for you. Now wipe those tears." He wipes your tears away, then hugs you firmly. "Be strong now."
It seems you have no choice but to Stay Put.
