TVR/Lady Jane/Runaway

You have been to the local town quite a few times, but it's not a very big place, so you know you have to get further away. You climb over the fence to get onto the station platform and sneak onto the first train that stops. When the ticket collector comes, you walk past him as if you're going to the toilet and when he asks for your ticket you point back down the carriage and tell him that your mother has it.

When you get to the terminus in the big city, you tag along with a group of schoolgirls. Although they're in uniform, your best blue coat doesn't look too dissimilar to theirs, and when the woman in charge of them hands their tickets to the guard, you just walk through with them unobserved.

The big city is really scary and you don't have much money, so when the girls start giving you funny looks, you break away and go into a small park where you can sit down and think about what to do. The park you're sitting in is more like a large garden. Everything seems so hemmed in after living in the countryside, but the trees, shrubs and flowers are pretty and the grass is neatly mown. It's really nice, sitting there in the sunshine with your little suitcase beside you, and you are nodding off when someone sits down on the bench next to you.
