You turn your gaze elsewhere.
"Nah. You're not a little girl anymore. I think you should be able to wear what you want."

Eventually, June leans back into the seat and puts her hands in her lap. She looks up at you.
She beams up at you and you smile back.

"Did you see my new swimsuit last time I swam in your pool?" She asks.
"You mean it?"

You think back, recalling her in a tight, deep blue one piece suit.
You nod.

"Yeah, I saw it." But you didn't have much else to say about it.
"You're the best."

"Mom made me get that one. I wanted to try a two piece one like the girls at school. I mean, I'm eleven! I'm going to be in middle school! I shouldn't be wearing little girl swimsuits!" She huffs and crosses her arms, looking away.
She reaches out from the car and hugs your waist, her head against your stomach. When she breaks the embrace, she stands up and dusts off her jean shorts.

"Sorry. You probably think I'm a little girl too huh?" She questions, not making eye contact.
Your wife pulls up into the driveway and you look up at her. She grins at you as she leaves the car, shutting the driver door.

"I got to to go home now. Bye!" June suddenly mentions.

She dashes off, leaving as quickly as she had came.

Your wife approaches and kisses your cheek, laughs softly while touching your shoulder.

Now you're the one blushing.
