This is just some information on Jenny's life up to now. Not necessary for the story but may be interesting if you want lore.
The world
The year is 21XX and humanity was recently brought in to the automatic age, the age where almost all production is automated.
Ignoring the many scientist who argued that artificial intelligence were just in it's infancy and weren't up to the safety standards that is required for industrial purposes. Despite these facts the big companies continued with their plans and automated almost all of the productions. Many worked were fired and only a handful of people in charge of maintaining these machines were allowed on site, this reduced the number of accidents.
Many politicians saw that if this would continue most people would be without a job and tried to introduced a new amendment to counteract this. After a long battle against the companies the new Constitutional amendment were introduced which raised taxes for automated companies and created a universal income. The companies were angry but agreed, they still made many times more than they did with human workers.
