Catacombs and underground
Just as the outskirts is vast and varied, so is the word under Lamptons. Over the many centuries that Lamptons has existed, many groups and organizations have called it home. Because of this there is a vast underground network in and around the school. Starting with hidden tunnels connecting all the buildings and secret escape passages for emergencies, to catacombs containing the bodies of the ancient dead and hidden temples to forgotten gods and cults, even underground civilizations and trade routs that span the entire outskirts. There is no telling what may rise from these secret depths.
