You wander into a couple of clothes shops but there's nothing that takes your fancy. Then you remember the little boutique in a side street and head for that.
You wander into a couple of clothes shops but there's nothing that takes your fancy. Then you decide to try the big department store and head for that.
 
You find the teenage department flick along a couple of rails, ignoring the scowls from a snotty-looking assistant; it can't be your age, because at least some of the pretty dresses are in your size, but a quick glance at the price ticket shows that they are way over your budget.
 
You wander down to the children's section where there are rack after rack of clothes aimed at kids from toddler to teen. "Can I help?" The masculine voice surprises you and makes you jump.
 


They go for the sexier end of the market and the woman behind the counter frowns a little when she sees you. Whether it's your age or the fact that you are on your own, you can't tell. You flick along a couple of rails; it can't be your age, because several of the pretty dresses are in your size, but a quick glance at the price ticket shows that they are way over your budget.
