If I had a girlfriend, she'd dump me now, you think as you pull out your phone. Oh, it's just Dad; lucky me. He probably wants me to pick something up from the store when I get off work. But... I'm jobless.

However, as you unlock your phone and read the message, you instantly knew that something was wrong.
