Biography

Gregory lost both of his parents, as well as his younger sister, to a drunk driving accident shortly after graduating from the Police Academy. This loss was devastating for him, and it caused him to withdraw socially as he retreated into his work and mostly came straight home after work.

During this time, the only person he regularly interacted with was his sister's best friend Maridith, or Mary for short. Mary was also quite upset about her friend's death, and would regularly come over to his house which he had inherited from his parents in order to keep being in the same house where she'd enjoyed all the good times with her friend.

Despite her being just shy of 12 at the time and him being 22, they started to grow close and he in his depressed state of mind thought it would be a good idea to take sexual advantage of her closeness to him. It was not entirely unusual in this town for a marriage to happen between a young girl like her and an adult man, and he wanted to be able to forever keep this last attachment he had to his sister. So, he taught the young girl about sex in the explicit hopes of getting her pregnant and making it so he would have to have a yellow-dress wedding with her.

He continued to play the role of a loving husband after their marriage and got her pregnant again after she gave birth to his oldest daughter Annie, but since then he has not touched her sexually due to the guilt over how he'd taken advantage of her and their shared grief at such a young age. This only caused him to retreat completely into his work, barely even aware of his own children who he's left mostly to his wife to raise.

This extreme dedication to his work, combined with the constant stress he pours on himself, has caused him to be highly valued in the police force and he got promoted to Chief, and was also given the position of Fire Chief after pushing his studies in that direction as well.

Around a year ago, he adopted a runaway girl who closely resembled his deceased sister. With his position in town, he was able to talk to the mayor and some strings were pulled to make the process of her removal from her house and adoption by him a lot easier than it should have otherwise been, although the fact she was a child of a single mother did help the process as well.
