Revision as of 17:54, 2 November 2023
For practical reasons, the first round of the All The Fallen Story Writing Contest is being held on the ATF Forum only. Future rounds will be held on both the forum and here on ATF Stories.
Story submission
Anyone can enter by submitting a story, before the deadline: October 11, 2023 "anywhere on earth": 23:59 AoE.
The main requirement is that submitted stories must be between 2,000 and 15,000 words long, and must adhere to the chosen theme: Magical Children:
Stories involving magical children (lolis, shotas, furries, or combinations) getting involved with lewd things.
Note that this includes children that have magical abilities, as well as those that are themselves magical beings. However, the purely proverbial "children are magical beings" to describe how beautiful and wonderful they are won't cut it. There has to be actual magic involved.
Please note that, for this round of the contest, submission is only possible on the ATF Forum, in a private message to the organizer.
An overview of the full rules and submission guidelines can be found here.
These are the stories that have been submitted so far:

Voting
During the submission period, a total of fourteen competing entries were submitted.
In addition, there were also two stories submitted out of competition.
They follow the mandatory theme and would be valid entries according to the rules, but their authors decided to submit out of competition instead.
That means they cannot receive votes.
Voting for the Readers' Choice Award has opened, and runs until November 2.
The voting procedure for this award uses the poll feature of the ATF Forum.
I encourage everyone to go to this topic, and vote for all your favorite stories.
Voting for the Writers' Choice Award is also open, and also runs until November 2.
Writers' Choice Award voting is only open for writers who have an accepted entry in the current contest.
The description of how to cast your votes can be found here.

Results
The deadline is over. The votes have been counted. And there were no hanging chads, so the results are final.
But let me first start by thanking all who participated in the contest. All the writers, or course. But also all readers, all who suggested writing prompts, all who left feedback, and all who voted for stories. This contest is only possible by virtue of you, those who participate in any way. So: thanks! :)
So, without further ado, allow me to present the winners of the Readers' Choice Award:
- First place, with 15 votes: Witching Star.
- Tied for second and third place, with 13 votes each: A Cry For Help and A Deal with the Devil.
And an honorable mention for The Power Of The Mind, that ended in fourth, trailing by just one vote (so 12 votes).
But there is also the Writers' Choice Award. And to my surprise, the results there are quite different!
- First place, with 45 points: A Deal with the Devil.
- Second place, at 32 points: Storm's Lament.
- And in third, with 24 points: A Cry For Help.
Here, too, I want to shout out an honorable mention to the stories that were very close to, but not in the top three: tied for fourth, at 22 points each: In The Essence of Anything and The Boy and the Succubus.
The number 1 from the Readers' Choice trails by three more points in sixth place.
It's always surprising when there are such large differences between the Readers' Choice and the Writers' Choice. Is the taste of the readers so different from that of authors?

My congratulations to all who won, but also my congratulations to all who did not win ... you still contributed to a great contest, and you have given many people a great time reading your story!
Those authors who wish to reveal their identity can now do so. Just reply here and claim ownership of your story. I will then ask the forum administrators to transfer ownership of your story's topic to you, so that you can edit your story if you so wish.
(In a few days from now, I will update this page with the names of the authors who have chosen to reveal themselves).
