You turn around to look at the couch where Barbara was. Hidden rather conspicuously underneath it you spot the edge of the frame that once housed your degree from college. This must be the source of the crash you'd heard in your office moments earlier. It looks as though Barbara had attempted to cover up the accident rather than admit to fault.

A decision now lies before you. You could just clean up the mess and go back to your office. After all, having kids around now an accident like this was bound to happen anyhow. Alternatively you punish her and teach the child a lesson about breaking the belongings of others.
