After the rough fight, you need to regain your strength. You drift off to sleep, aided by soft glow of firelight. Your dreams are filled with blood and sex, as the dreams of all orcs should be.

When you wake up, things are relatively undisturbed: most of what was eaten by wildlife was guts, high could have been used, but it’s not a massive loss. You still have at least 985 pounds of smoked bear meat, from which you take 10 pounds to carry your self before shoving into a secluded space in the cave and covering up with the rocks you used for the kiln. You then clean up the gut pile and toss it out to keep animals away.

Before you leave, you are smacked in the face by bright light. As your eyes adjust, you see the light is coming from a small, floating source. After being hit by a cloud of dust, you make out what it is: a fairy, who does not look pleased at you. This confirmed when she speaks up:

“You! You have defiled this tiny forest with your senseless bloodlust! You could’ve just left this bear alone, but no! You had to murder him, mutilate his corpse, and take his home! I’ll have you know that this bear was a very close friend of mine! We would hang out, chat about the best berries, snoop on the local fish, and spoke the deer every now and again! Now he’s gone and I must avenge him, and you will know my fury! Do not underestimate...”

She just keeps going. On and on she rants, not once preparing to attack. She’s so lost in her tirade, you could probably take her by surprise.

What do you do?
