You place your hand on her collar and slip your hand down across her smooth, cool to the touch skin. You confirm your suspicion about goosebumps but she immediately yelps and pushes your hand away. The look of betrayal and humiliation on her face is potent. She shoves past you and runs out of the garage sobbing.
You turn your gaze elsewhere.




You are screwed.
Eventually, June leans back into the seat and puts her hands in her lap. She looks up at you.




Around the time your wife pulls into the driveway, the cops show up. The neighbors watch you get taken away in cuffs. Your wife is beside herself and that doesn't even begin to describe how angry she is. June can't even look at you.
"Did you see my new swimsuit last time I swam in your pool?" She asks.




''Looks like you hit a bad end. Try going back and make a different choice. June might like you, but you shouldn't rush her.''
You think back, recalling her in a tight, deep blue one piece suit.

"Yeah, I saw it." But you didn't have much else to say about it.
 
 
"Mom made me get that one. I wanted to try a two piece one like the girls at school. I mean, I'm eleven! I'm going to be in middle school! I shouldn't be wearing little girl swimsuits!" She huffs and crosses her arms, looking away.
 
 
"Sorry. You probably think I'm a little girl too huh?" She questions, not making eye contact.
