The holy code of conduct is a list of laws that religious people must abide to.
Failure, or refusal to do so will condemn your soul to hell. The only way to atone for your sins is to go through punishments that will be adjusted to the infraction you have committed.
Note: Historically, the code of conduct was done as a way to diminish birthrates and to set standards for men and women to follow. The use of a greater being is meant to instill a fear for acting otherwise. With time the church began to take itself seriously, forgetting their true origins and becoming caricatures serving a higher power.
Holy code of conduct
Praise the Lord almighty.
You must take a moment each day to give your thanks to the lord.
Respect and trust the men who work under God.
Men who have pledges their lives serving God has taken a vow to never lie. They can only say the truth.
You must bring offerings on the holy day
Each first day of the month is God's holy day. You must come bring your offerings and thanks. People are encouraged to spend the remaining time of the day with families and friends.
You must come and receive a sermon at least one time every week.
The lord expect you to come to the church and learn the story behind him, you and the world. You are encouraged to give offerings for the lord and to come for another sermon.
You must confess yourself of any act or thoughts deemed sinful.
The lord sees all. Eternal damnation is unto you if you break his holy laws. Only through atonement will you find salvation.
If a man of the church wishes to interrogate you, you cannot deny his request.
The act of evading questions or not accepting such a request is sinful.
The inquisition reserves the right to hold a person captive for interrogation.
If a person appears sinful, the inquisition holds all the right to arrest and detain the person until they admit or provide proof they have done nothing wrong.
Children found roaming the streets alone must be brought to the orphanage or back to home.
The inquisition reserves the right to interrogate the child first. If parents or relatives are not at home, the church can take hold of the child for the moment. If there are no response within a week, the child is relocated to the orphanage of Light's hope. Parents will receive a punishment for not taking care of their child unless found dead.
However, if the child is from another orphanage, the Inquisition is obligated to bring the child back there. If the orphanage no longer wants the child, they will be brought to Light's hope.
Family is important. You must be an example for them.
The lord cherish those who have healthy families. When you pledge under the lord, you pledge your life toward your family. Your duty is to bring happiness and unconditional love to them.
Claiming to be God will result in loss of life.
None may claim they are the Lord as he is omnipotent. If you cannot prove your authenticity, you will be killed. There is a special place in hell for those making such claims.
Sins and Punishment
God is merciful. Hell is not. Sinners and Heretics are all welcome to his kingdom...But only if they go through his punishments for the crimes committed. What is pain compared to the eternal damnation you will suffer? It is nothing. Nothing compares to what you will be subjected to if you commit sins.
Lying
The act of lying is extremely sinful. Depending on the lie, The Inquisition reserves the right to give a proper punishment. Holy water must be used on each step, however the person that was lied to can freely choose the location of where the liar will be applied holy water to and if they want to see the liar in the process or not.
- The liar has to excuse himself in person toward the one whom he lied to.
- The liar is given a proper physical punishment. He is then to be kept in the church's prison for three days and may be used as a example to the public in the meanwhile.
- The liar's tongue is cut. He is then to be kept three days in the church's prison and be used as an example to the public in the meanwhile.
- If somehow found lying again, the liar will be killed in public.
Stealing
Much like lying, this act is very sinful. The Inquisition reserves the right to give a proper punishment for the thief depending on the goods stolen and who they stole. Holy water must be used on each step, however, the victim can freely choose the location of where the liar will be applied holy water to and if they want to see the liar in the process or not.
- The thief has to bring back all the stolen goods to the person he committed the crime to. The thief's hands are subjugated to lashes or laceration if they don't have everything, or nothing.
- The thief is given a proper physical punishment. He is then to be kept in the church's prison for three days and may be used as a example to the public in the meanwhile.
- The thief's hands are cut. He is then to be kept in the church's prison for three days and be used as a example to the public in the meanwhile.
- If somehow found stealing again, the thief will be killed in public.
Violence
The punishment given out for violence depends on the crime itself. A man defending his life will not be subjected to any punishment. A man who has harmed someone else for the sake of pleasure or punishment will be given a physical punishment equal to what he has caused. A man causing harm to his family will be subjugated to prison for three days on top of the punishment given out. Killing someone will result in yourself getting killed.
Misuse of body
The misuse of your body leads to impurity. Any impurities must be cleansed through holy water on top of the punishment received. Only those who are married can use their body as they please with the one they love as God intended it.
Masturbation
Masturbating oneself is the lowest form of misuse. The person must be cleansed with holy water on each attempt, however the punishment varies on the number of time done. Masturbating in public will result in three days at the church's prison with a physical punishment or death if the individual refuses to stop.
- Cleansed in private and told not to do it again
- Cleansed in private and told of the consequences that will happen next if they continue
- Cleansed in public and used as an example to other sinners. They are released shortly after.
- Cleansed in public and used as an example to other sinners. They are kept in prison for three days and may be used again for public examples.
- Cleansed in private or public and subjugated to a physical punishment. They are kept in prison for three days and may be used again for public examples.
- Cleansed and Killed in public.
Sexual intercourse with others
The act of sexual intercourse outside of marriage is a heavy sin. A punishment will be given out along with incarceration of three days to both willing subject on the first act, and killed on the second act. Homosexual are killed on sight. If one is a victim or underage, they will be exempt from punishment and prison...However, they will have to be purified thoroughly with holy water. The person who has taken their purity will be killed.
Sinful Thoughts
Sinful thoughts cannot be subjugated to beatings of any kind. However, the person must be subjugated to being drenched on the head with holy water after each private session. Depending on the severity of the talk, the priest is allowed to ask if the person wants a full thorough body cleanse. The person has to be naked for this and let the priest apply the holy water. They can refuse the offer and only be subjugated to being drenched on the head.
If the person begs for forgiveness or help, the priest is forced to provide them with a thorough body cleanse. However, the priest is allowed to choose if they want to do it in private and keep the person's thoughts a secret, or go in a public area and make others knows the person's wishes while applying the holy water.
Refusing God
The act of refusing god is the greatest sin of all. Individuals will be progressively put under pressure until they find faith in him. This may lead to death.
Note: When being kept in the church's prison, the sinners are not fed or given water. If they die between the time they are here, they are said to be claimed by the devil himself. The chosen method for physical punishment is left to the discretion of the one doing it. When used as an example to the public, there are several methods at hand. It can range from being cuffed outside the church, to being pulled around naked in town or brought to certain areas for speeches and the like. Most of them are usually when the body is weakened on the third day. The sinner may beg for another punishment and receive it instead, however only the one conducting the punishment is allowed to choose if they will change it or not
