Welcome to the 2024/IV edition of the ATF Story Writing Contest, the sixth edition overall. This contest runs across two sites: this site (ATF Stories), and the ATF Forum.

Dual sites

All stories that are submitted to this contest will be published on both sites.

Due to the nature of ATF Stories, discussing rules and voting for the best stories are not possible here. These elements of the contest will be at the ATF Forum only.

Call for prompts

The call for writing prompts was opened on September 15, 2024, and will close on September 30, 2024.

Prompt selection

On September 30, 2024, a poll will be set up (on the ATF Forum) to select one of the 16 submitted prompts. Voters can pick one or more of the following submitted prompts.

Story submissions

On October 15, 2024, the 2024/IV edition of the ATF Story Writing Contest will officially start.

Voting

On January 15, 2025, shortly after the deadline for story submissions, the official list of competing stories will be presented, and voting for both the Readers' Choice as well as the Writers' Choice will commence, and las for three weeks.

Since these votes use the poll feature and the private message feature, the voting will be entirely on the ATF Forum.

Results

After voting closes, the winners of the Readers' Choice Award and of the Writers' Choice Award will be presented here.
