This section lists magical abilities that can be attained by Magic Level. Magical ability is based on a trait which will define the level of power in magic that the individual possesses in the type of a particular type of magic. An individual can have multiple types of magical traits. Wizardry requires no magical traits, only skills and components. Magical skills (a.k.a. spells) are a measure of how much control one has in the use of their magic to create a particular effect, and also determines how much of their power they can employ in the spell effectively.

No Psionics

There are no psionic individuals.

Very Low Psionics

Psions can have one type of mental-only psionic ability (telepathy or ESP). Psionics are less effective than mundane ways of doing things. (Telepathy is hard, ESP is fuzzy, etc.).

Low Psionics

Psions can have one type of psionic ability (telepathy, ESP, telekinesis or psychometabolics). Psionics are generally less effective than mundane ways of doing things.

Moderate Psionics

Psions can have two types of psionic ability (telepathy, ESP, telekinesis, or psychometabolics). Psionics are equal to mundane ways of doing things.

High Psionics

Psions can have all types of psionic ability (telepathy, ESP, telekinesis, or psychometabolics). Psionics are generally more effective than mundane ways of doing things.

Very High Psionics

Psions can have all types of psionic ability (telepathy, ESP, telekinesis, or psychometabolics). Psionics are always more effective than mundane ways of doing things.

Universal Psionics

Psionics can be nearly omnipotent.

No Magic

There is no magic. Preexisting magical items will still seem strange, give people an odd feeling, or feel creepy, etc.

Very Low Magic

Magic is limited to minor "parlor tricks". (D&D reference: equal to cantrips and 1st level spells)

Low Magic

Magic can be useful, but is rarely better than mundane ways of doing things. (D&D reference: equal to 1st and 2nd level spells)

Moderate Magic

Magic is useful, and equal to mundane ways of doing things. (D&D reference: equal to 1st to 3nd level spells)

High Magic

Magic is quite useful, and is often better than mundane ways of doing things. (D&D reference: equal to 1st to 6th level spells)

Very High Magic

Magic is powerful, it is always better than mundane ways of doing things. (D&D reference: equal to 1st to 9th level spells)

Universal Magic

Magic is nearly omnipotent.
