Guess you're going to have to talk to Mary's parents. The are going to need to at least know she's not coming home after school today. The only question is how much you are going to tell them.
You dial the phone, half hoping somehow you are going to get ahold of her father. No such luck. It is definitely an adult feminine voice that answers the phone.
"Hello?" She says.
"Yes, this is Jhon Gardner, director of disciplinary action at St. Andre Truitt. Is this the mother of Mary Franklin?"
"Oh yes! Mr. Gardner! Did Mary do something wrong?" She asked, you can definitely sense the tinge of excitement in her voice although she seems to be trying to act concerned. "I'm sorry, she is in her rebellious stage. I am certain though that a harsh dose of reality and some of the new humiliation from the new punishment policy ought to make her shape up."
