A Loli's ENF Adventure/Earth 2X30
Earth 2X30
Earth 2X30 the same Earth as the modern world only far into the future, with the X being a place holder for how many centuries into the future the story is set. The year 2030 isn't an option for the future as it's instead the year any "normal" stories would be set in. Below are some rundowns on the advancement of the human race and their technologies.
2130
One whole century into the future, and the most notable change is the advancement of cybernetic prosthetic limbs. Being able to perfectly mimic the flexibility and complexity of organic arms, legs, hands and feet, cybernetic limbs are surgically attached, use a neural interface to transmit thoughts into commands in real time, and use wireless charging technology to charge from the nearest capable outlet while the user sleeps. That said, however, 3D bio-printing techniques able to grow replacement limbs from tissue samples threaten to surpass cybernetics, even as rumors of laws allowing individuals to have working limbs removed and replaced with cybernetic limbs instead are starting to rise. Hover technology is just now getting its start with experimental military aircraft, AIs are starting to be integrated into the labor force as inventory managers and complete autopilots on ground vehicles, and automatic farming technology is giving rise to multi-story indoor farms that produce crops faster and take up less space.
2230
Two centuries into the future and the Earth is starting to look unrecognizable. Bio-printing has reached the point of being able to grow exact replicas of human bodies and coincides with the discovery of mind transfer technology, thus allowing the mind to be "uploaded" into a virtual storage device until the body can be fix and the mind "downloaded" back into it. Cybernetics have evolved to the point of being able to replicate an entire human body in exact detail and has begun to experiment with installing AIs to create independent androids. Cybernetic limbs and implants are still prominent but as accessories that come with special features such as built in computer interfaces and self-defense mechanisms, leading a large portion of the population to seek how far they can go. AIs as a whole have reached near human levels of complexity with only emotions being the most difficult aspect to integrate, and AIs are now capable of preforming most tasks that humans can with near perfection. Unrest at the rise in AI prominence is starting to grip the public and new laws regarding AI production and independence are in the works. Hover technology is everywhere now as cars soar through the skies and has been applied to spacecraft, allowing for the beginning of colonization of the moon and Mars. Most rural and suburban communities are gone as massive cities house most of humanity, skyscraper sized farm buildings eliminating the need for farmland and being able to feed small countries with only a few buildings.
2330
Three centuries have passed and the world has turned their eyes to the heavens. If someone doesn't live in the literal city states of Earth then they're either in one the Lunar, Martian, or Venusian cities, or reside in one of the massive space stations orbiting Earth, Mars, Jupiter and its major moons or resting in the asteroid belt and partway between the planets. Spacecraft can travel from Earth to Mars in three days and interstellar travel is now a fact of life. All of this has largely been made capable with creation of artificial gravity technology and food production facilities the size of a vending machines that can sustain the demands of five people. Humanity has branched off into two different directions, "pure" humans who refrain from cybernetic implants beyond possible necessary medical equipment, and "cyborg" humans who have up to 75% of their bodies replaced with cybernetics and have formed their own culture built around the "HUB," a virtual world built upon the interconnected implants of cyborgs that only they can access and is constantly warped to best accommodate the users' greatest collective desires. AIs meanwhile have advanced to the point of being indistinguishable from humans and androids live and work alongside their creators, being able to do the work too dangerous for normal humans and cyborgs with no ill effects, such as emergency repairs on a station's outer hull in the vacuum of space. Their creation is determined by the desires of other androids, which is surprisingly not very high, while sentient AI creation for ships, stations, and other computerized systems can still be freely created so long as the creator follows the official laws of AI Rights and Responsibilities.
