This is for personal talk and we should have one for the Nepi Club as well. -- Aaron 17:10, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

In response to your questions, anyone can edit almost any page on the site. There are only a few that are locked. The Main page is one of these. If you need anything changed on the main page let me know what you want changed specifically, and I will take care of it.
Are you looking for a directory page leading back to the stories on the main site that is separate from the story categories? I don't think we should mix stories that aren't on the wiki with stories that are on the wiki (it could be quite confusing).
Additionally, if you are only going to use the wiki to house a directory for off-site stories I believe you are ignoring the ways that the wiki format is superior to forums for displaying stories; not the least of which is that a talk page is attached to every page, making feedback a lot neater and easier. Also, with larger stories the use of links can break up the Wall-of Text effect it can have, making it easier to read the story without having to search trough a thread for all the parts of a story or trying to read a wall of text. It might take a bit of getting used to when formatting the stories for the site, but the wiki is an objectively better medium for stories than a forum.

I know it takes a bit of getting used to, but the best way to communicate on the wiki is to respond to an individual on their talk page instead of adding to the original message. If you "reply" to the original message, the user has no idea that you responded. By editing their talk page, they get an alert that someone has messaged them. The way you're currently doing things works well for non-user talk pages, but it misses the mark when communicating between users. Also, your conversation with Fenrix below (who should be told how to more easily sign his edits, lol) would probably be a great thing to do on the talk page associated with The Nepi Club page. Talk pages exist specifically for the purpose of discussing the page that they are associated with. On any page their is a "Discussion" tab to the right of the "Page" tab. This can be used to discuss the page. That is what makes the wiki so great for feedback. --Elerneron (talk) 05:51, 27 April 2020 (CEST)

Ok, I'll answer these in sequence:
1) That's awesome! The only thing I need changed is the description of the Nepi Club that I noted in my initial message.
2 and 3) With regard to the directory and linking back to AlltheFallen, this is, at most, a temporary thing until we can evaluate the Wiki and it use. There were SEVERAL alarming concerns raised by the writers about the nature of the Wiki, such as:
- Anyone can come to the wiki and read the stories.
- Anyone can make changes to the story. (Honor code or not, once even minor edits are made, it is still adjusting someones art without their permission)
The reason that we are using the Wiki, is because at the moment, only one person can edit the Nepi Club directory on AlltheFallen. This makes it super hard to help people find access to the stories or known the ins and outs of the site and where to go. This will only become more complex as time goes on since we have more than 10 active writers contributing weekly.
I know that Vistarrr had put a pin in a more extensive stories focused site that is behind membership because of a lack of project lead. Perhaps it may be time to open that discussion soon. In the meantime, the Wiki is a great tool that we can actively update AND I do have plans for those authors who actually want to and are ok with the Wiki.
The other sort of side problem with the Wiki, is that even if I teach people to use it, they avoid it because its too much "hassle". HAHA

Pages or Chapters?
Hey, should we change Pages to Chapters? Pages isnt as important to us. -Fenrix
Lets change Open for Editing to Story Status "Finished" "In Progress"-Fenrix
- I noticed that change, and while I support it, I will check to make sure that it is ok overall. Should not be a problem. The issue is that people on the Stories Wiki are used to its rules and we can't jump over them. --Aaron (talk) 01:42, 27 April 2020 (CEST)
We should put JnT on AFT. Or do we want to link to ASSTR? -Fenrix
