"I just got finished interviewing Miss. Ross." You say. "Based on how she answered the questions, I believe the report against her was false."
Ms. Varano's face darkens a little when she hears this.
"Are you saying you are taking her word for it that she didn't do it, Mr. Gardner?" She demands
"No, I am not just taking her word for it." You tell her. "I was watching her and the way she answered each question. I would have been able to tell if she was lying."
"This is quite the accusation against the student who reported her Mr. Gardner. Are you sure you want to stand by this?"
"It is an even bigger accusation against Miss. Ross." You tell her. "I believe something of this nature should be treated with care. How would you feel if your daughter was accused, and a student who might just hate her was the only witness?"
"Mr... The student who accused her is..." She trails off and looks like she's considering something. "I think Mr. Granville should have a word on this. Put her back in your office while I tell him about the situation."
After her declaration, Ms. Varano marches into your boss' office, leaving you with little choice but to go along with this.
