The Babysitter and the Sisterly Trio/ChapterVII
The next day I wake up to see that it snowed while we slept. The ground is covered with more than a foot of snow. I've barely rolled out of bed when Riley comes bounding down the stairs.
"Rei! Look at all the snow!~" she exclaims giddily. "Wanna come play in the snow with me!?"
I rub my eyes and look at the clock. "It's barely 6am, Riley." I tell her. "Gimme an hour or two to wake up first..." *Yawn*
She pouts at me. "But I wanna go play in the snow NOW!"
"Well, you can go out now and I'll join you later, alright?"
"Okay!~ Don't make me wait too long, tehe!" Riley rushes back upstairs to get her snow clothes on. I shake my head. That girl is never out of energy!
"Shit!" I think to myself. "I need to check on Evy."
I walk to the other side of the bed and peel back the covers. "Evy, are you doing okay?" I ask her.
"Mmmmff.. Five more minutes..." Evy mumbles. I tuck the covers back around her and kiss her on the head. I should let her sleep in.
I head into the kitchen and make a pot of coffee, then fix some breakfast for myself. Half an our later, I feel much more awake and ready for the new day.
[Err... What did I do again?] * Play in the snow with Riley. * Check if Tera is awake yet.
