I know, I know. All of you (or at least most) are still working hard to finish your entry for the first story writing contest. And yet, here I am, thinking about the next round already.

There will be a few changes. I have already mentioned in other topics that this second iteration of the contest will not require anonymous submission. So once the theme is selected, feel free to discuss your progress, and to post your story yourself. All at once, or in parts, over time.
Of course, for those who WANT to remain anonymous, that option will remain available.

A second change I am planning is to run this contest on two sides side by side: here on ATF Stories, as well as the ATF Forum. Discussion about the contest, and all relevant polls, will remain on the forum. But all competing stories will appear on both sites, and I hope that I'll be able to get all relevant announcements on both sites as well.

What this means in practical terms:

  • A writer may choose to publish their contest entry story on both sites.
  • A writer may also choose to publish the story on one site. In that case, I will post a copy of it on the other site.
  • Anonymous submission remains by PM to me, and I will post the submission to both sites.

I hope that this change will increase participation and visibility. Please understand that there might be startup problems as everyone is getting used to this new setup.

Finally, discussion about rules is always welcome in the Rules Discussion topic, or you can send me your thoughts via my talk page. Now would be a great idea to propose your ideas, because I can now still change the rules for the next contest.

But the most important ingredient for the next contest is of course: the theme. For this I need your help! Please share your suggestions for the theme or assignment for this second contest, either in the relevant forum topic (where it can also be discussed), or through my talk page.
As before, everyone is restricted to propose just one suggestion, otherwise the list becomes way too long. Also, the theme "Magical Children" has already been used, so let's not propose that again, okay?
Do keep in mind that All The Fallen caters to all tastes: loli, shota, furry, and everything else. Any suggestion that implicitly or explicitly rules out some categories will be modified when possible, or else rejected.

Tip 1: A good theme or assignment restricts the writers enough to challenge them to be creative, but does not restrict them so much that their creativity is smothered. A commission is not a good theme!
Tip 2: Check back here after you submit a suggestion. I might suggest rewording your suggestion, to make it a better fit for the purpose of the contest. If you feel that my edit changes your submission too much, then please let me know and we'll work out a good alternative.

I reserve the right to refuse theme suggestions if I think they would be detrimental for the competition.
Note that all accepted suggestions will be put up for a vote. The suggestions with the most votes will be used in the contest.

Suggestions for the contest theme/assignment can be submitted until September 30, 2023, 18:00 UTC (click link for a countdown, in case you are as time zone challenged as I am).

Themes suggested so far:

  • Halloween (Hressaleert)
Stories must be in any way related to Halloween.
  • Magical realism (bcha)
Stories written in a style that blurs the line between fantasy and reality, in often a sort of dream like, surrealistic way. Here is a good description.
  • The parent(s) made me do it (simonzes)
An 'innocent 'adult' is drawn into a sexual relationship with a child, 'forced' by their parent(s).
(Note that 'forced' is not limited to literal force, but includes any type of coercion, trickery, etc. Get creative!)
  • Time Travel (Mek)
A character from one moment in time travels to another. This can be traveling into the past or the future by any means, deliberately or accidentally.
  • Reverse (Purre)
The story has to be told in reverse chronological order. This means that every shift in time period must be to a period before the preceding one. There must be at least three such sections, but more is allowed.
(See here for a more detailed explanation)
  • Little spies (Darkhorse17)
A story about one or more children training for, or working as, underage spy or assassin.
  • Twisted Logic (AoiHikari)
Use creative twists of logic (or "logic") to arrive at unlikely conclusions, which would enable the underage sex in the story to happen.
  • Interruption (GreenishVert)
Story must include at least one sex scene where the sex is interrupted when one partner talks about a previous sexual experience.
  • Twins (DantesDesires)
A simple theme with many possibilities, left to the writers. It's simple, but it's a good opportunity to give focus to character development and detail. Time for stories about love, conflict, or jealousy. Take your pick or think of another powerful emotion. But there need to be twins in this story... and sex.
  • Stranded/marooned (keyontae)
Characters are stuck (for example due to a plane crash, ship wreck, weather, space ship malfunction, etc.), and they decide to throw caution into the wind. Desperate situations call for desperate actions—crossing the erotic boundary.
  • Coercive Incest (JourneyKid)
Any story that involves incest achieved through coercion. The coercion can be subtle manipulation, flat out rape, or anything in between.
