Offline/Sit with Hannah and Jet around the campfire
You're torn between what you'd rather do right now, but you end up making your way back to the campfire with Nicole. Hannah and Jet both invite you in as you get closer, Hannah getting Uncle Mike to help move some chairs around. You assume Jet is drunk if he's no longer mad, but he doesn't seem that bad. He and Hannah aren't pounding anything back like the other night but they do have drinks in their hands and are looking cheerful. They're cozied up beside the fire, acting all grown up for once, listening to and sharing stories with the real grown ups, so you and Nicole also try to act the part.
When Jet gets up to find himself a new drink you're surprised when he later passes it to you. He noticed you sneaking some the other night and decided he'd help you out. Hannah follows suit and hands her cup over to Nicky. This isn't just beer. You're not sure what it is, but you thank him and cheers your younger cousin. She isn't really into it though, only drinking half of her cup over a whole hour.
You start to think that it's late enough that you could head out to your cabin without raising suspicion, but mother nature has you covered. Little droplets of rain start to trickle from the sky. More than half of the party disperses, although Uncle Dave is determined to keep strumming under the canopy so long as there isn't lightning.
You, Nicole, Jet and Hannah rush through the forest trail, tripping and laughing while racing to stay dry. It's still only a sprinkle by the time you arrive, so at most you have damp shoulders, but with no way of telling when it could get worse you are all immediately resigned to being trapped at your cabin again. Jet tries to reassure you that the party doesn't have to stop by revealing a metal flask hidden in his pants. Hannah gives a solitary "woo" of support but that enthusiasm peters out quickly.
With Jet softened up and Hannah increasingly chatty, rambling away like her usual self, you all have a good time regardless. An hour flies by before you know it, and after another hour you're all ribbing each other and laughing at each other's jokes, however bad some of them are, sharing stories about relatives, weird people from school, and your most embarrassing moments. Despite your nerves, being welcomed and engaged so warmly by two older kids makes you feel like you're already a high schooler. Everyone is totally relaxed and enjoying themselves and you start to think that, even if nothing is going to happen tonight, at least you're all having a good time. And that's when Hannah makes a suggestion.
"Wouldn't it be so much fun if we had a game we could all play while we're stuck inside?"
Nicole nods enthusiastically. "Yeah! We could play charades! That's always fun!" Hannah winces a little.
"Yeeeaaah, that's not really my kind of game."
"Oh. Okay. What kind of games do you like to play?"
"Honestly?" Hannah looks over at Jet with a grin. "Spin the bottle."
"Yeah, you would," he replies.
"C'mon! Why not! It's a totally harmless game."
"Yeah. I don't know if we want to play that," states Nicole nervously, looking at you. Why is she answering for you? That sounded awesome.
"Well I'd be happy to spin the bottle for you Nicole. You wouldn't even have to do anything."
Jet cuts short the sultry gaze coming from Hannah. "There are lots of games we could play. It doesn't always have to be spin the bottle." It sounds like he's put up with this before, although it's you don't blame him for wanting to avoid playing spin the bottle with his cousins.
"Buzzkill." Hannah sticks her tongue out at her boyfriend, then tries to turn her scorn into seduction, wiggling her tongue and licking the air.
Nicole jumps in with, "How about we do "Would you rather" instead?"
It doesn't feel like anyone is super keen on it, but you all agree anyway. It will indeed help pass the time while it's still raining, although it felt like you were already doing a good job of that.
The questions are all over the place. Would you rather be stung by a bee or bitten by a rat? Eat a ghost pepper or drink your pee? Catch your parents doing it or get caught doing it? Cut off your hand or your foot? And it's fun for a little while, but gets old quick, especially since you've long since lost your buzz.
"Would you rather kiss your cousin or your teacher?" Jet asks the room.
Nicole reacts right away. "Ew! Definitely cousin!" She glances over at you only for your eyes to meet and she promptly turns them down toward the floor.
Jet raises an eyebrow. "Which would you fuck?"
Hannah looks unimpressed by the follow up, but cheekily answers with, "Depends on the teacher."
"Yeah, um, I dunno." You stall, trying to seem conflicted. "I... do have some cute cousins."
Hannah jumps in, sitting up straight. "Okay, I've got a good one. Would you rather... keep playing this, or move onto a game with some stakes?"
"What does that mean?" you ask.
"It means whatever you want," she states flatly. "But it could mean having a lot more fun."
"Sure," shrugs Nicole, open to whatever. "But what are the stakes? Is this, like, truth or dare?"
"Yeah, something like that," Hannah replies coyly. "I was thinking more like "Never Have I Ever" but with consequences. The least virtuous get punished." She demurely covers her chest, as if she's some angel.
"Never have I ever been surprised by you," teases Jet. He seems to know where this is going. The fact that he doesn't object makes it less intimidating, although he also chooses this moment to pull his flask out.
"Shut up, you! Just listen to the rules. I'll say a "Never have I ever". If you have, then you strip. If you all have, then I get to give one of you a dare too. Then someone else goes. We all get to know each other better, we slowly get ready for bed," she notes with a grin, "and what you share can actually matter. Got it?"
