"Do you fancy coming back to my house for lunch," Alice says.

"Can I come," Mandy pipes up.

"'Course you can,"Alice laughs, giving her a hug. "Do you think we'd leave you here?"

It's a good half-hour walk and for some reason, Mandy elects to hold your hand. "Do you think we could play some games later," she asks.

You give her hand a little squeeze. "Yeah, that might be fun," you say, thinking that maybe you have different games in mind that she does.
