Monday afternoon and it's double english with Mr Baker again. Before the class you deliberately go into the toilets and take your knickers off. You don't really have a plan but you find the idea of teasing him exciting.

You are reading some boring play and he gets you all to read a part. The play is about teenagers falling in love and having all kinds of problems with their parents and other adults. Mr Baker pairs everyone up and you have to read lines from the play. You are paired with Simon Goody, who is a bit of a geek with bottle-end glasses that he is almost blind without.

The two teens are trying to get away from their parents and when you read your part, Mr Baker keeps stopping you. "Put some feeling into it. You are a frustrated young woman trying to get together with your boyfriend and you sound like you're reading a shopping list," he says.
