"Ill take the module, if you don't mind," you say. "It seems like the easiest solution."

"Alright," says Loki, "but this module is the most powerful module that Life Controller has, hands down. You can really screw things up if you aren't careful. And I mean REALLY screw things up . . . apocalyptically. So I'm going to limit your access for now." He opens his Life Controller interface, selects World Mod, then Adjust Local Settings, then Redefine Local Area. A familiar map opens on his interface, which you instantly recognize as your home town. Loki grimaces a bit, then circles The town with his finger. It glows faintly red. He refines the perimeter a bit here and there, then finally closes out the interface.

"There, I've claimed the local area, so you can't mess things up. When you get a bit more experience with the hack I'll abandon my claim so you can claim it. For now, you'll have access to Time Dilation and the various Free Buy modes . . . that should be enough. Let me just send you the module . . ." As before a screen appears in font of you.

You press Accept and Install, and watch the familiar download and install sequence. You are considering whether you should test things out, or wait until you're done talking with Loki, when Loki solves the problem for you.

"Well, looks Like you're all set. I think I'll stick around for a while and work on hacking Privacy Mode for you anyway. Hopefully I get it done before I get too bored." He turns to leave, then stops, and turns back toward you. "Oh take this," she says pulling what looks like an antique door knocker from his pocket and handing it to you. You reflexively take it from him, and put it in your infinity pocket through your ear just to see if it would work; which it does of course. "That's my personal knocker. Put it on any door, and give it a knock and I'll hear it in my private realm. I can't promise that I'll answer, but at least you'll have a way to contact me. Later!" Before you can inquire about this Private Realm stuff, he disappears through the wall. You feel time suddenly lurch forward. With your quickened reflexes you can probably repause time very quickly . . . or you can just play things out from here.

Which do you choose?
