Yes/Tom & Tash/ D-1 (B)/Ask Mrs Brans
"Mrs Brans," you begin as you rack your brain for what to ask, "who do you most want to sleep with in this school?"
There's a stunned silence. Task slams her head onto her desk, crushing her hand between the two. The teacher looks at you unsure exactly what to say in response.
"Thomas Morse that is a very personal, and rather a presumptuous question. Now if you can't thinking or a more serious..."
"Tom I think you have be more specific." A whisper comes from the desk next to you. You didn't need to look at your sister to know what she's thinking. "Ask her something else, quickly!"
"Err, sorry Miss, I meant..." You pause. If you keep pushing this and it doesn't work, there's no end to how much trouble you would be in! You're not entirely sure what made you ask that question in the first place. Was it a misplaced curiosity? Or was it really just testing the ring? Sure, you justify to yourself, I'm just testing, there's nothing wrong with that. "Would y-you...want to sleep...with one of us?" You're still so unsure about what you're asking. This isn't like you; this boldness, this audacity?
Mouths drop around the classroom. Tash freezes, scared motionless of what's about to happen next. Mrs Brans, on the other hand, seems to just stop talking and fade off. After an agonising few moments, she responds; a response no-one expected to hear.
"It's true." She comes across as far more passive about it all than she should. "I've wanted to for a while, but I couldn't do it! I could never...betray any of you like that."
As she speaks she seems hurt. Not by you, but by herself. Like she's let herself down. There's definitely a part of you that's intrigued, that wants to find out more. You've pretty much forgotten about the ring, forgotten that you are probably the one who gave her that want in the first place.
What do you do?:
- Give in to your intrigue and push for more explanation.
- She's too upset. Cut her some slack and back away.
- The ring! It might be enough for her, but your classmates can make good test subjects.
- Back off and skip to lunch
