Universe Remote/Jeremy/Press the right directional button
You look at the navigation buttons for a bit. They have to have some kind of purpose . . . but you don't have the first idea what they would be in a Remote Control that controls the universe. The center button is usually select . . . so you're guessing that lets you select things? Maybe verify things? It does have a check mark on it. The directional buttons, though . . . what could they do? You tentatively press the right button, not sure what to expect.
Suddenly a pleasant voice, that sounds really familiar says, "Invalid command," in a soft calm monotone like you would hear from an AI like Siri or Alexa . . . but less mechanical. You nearly drop the remote trying to keep it quiet, but Hank continues playing his game as if nothing had happened. The voice wasn't very quiet, so you aren't sure how he didn't hear it . . . unless it somehow just played out in your head.
You aren't sure what was invalid about it. The button shouldn't just do nothing. It should at least . . . you don't know spin the world a little faster or something when you press the button like this. You press the button again, waiting for the "Invalid command" response; but instead, suddenly everything seems to shift somewhat as you sway a bit as though . . . but that cant be. Hank is looking around the room as though her is trying to figure out what just happened. Outside, you hear dogs barking and car alarms go off as the world reacts to the fact . . . the FACT that you just increased the speed that the Earth rotates on its axis.
You stare at the remote for a moment. It boggles the min just how powerful this thing is.
What do you do now?
- Put things back to normal by pressing the left directional button
- . . . and try to erase the event from everyone's mind
Or make other changes to your immediate universe perhaps?
