I followed them back to where their father was still sitting. “They wanted me to take them to the loo,” I said, “normally I’d be happy to, but I’ve got something I need to do.”

The girls glared at me as if I promised them a treat and then changed my mind. “Sorry girls,” I said, and headed off back to my room.
