Family Ties/Head to Nicole's house and talk to her there.
You quickly decide that the longer you wait the worse it's going to get so you decide to head over to Nicole's to try and talk to her there. Nicole's parents travel a lot so there is a good chance that it's just the two of them there. 5 minutes and a few turned ankles later you are standing in front of her ranch style house.
The SUV and the boat are gone so you ended up being right in assuming that they wer alone in the house.
