Alright, I appreciate that. I will wait until you finish writing that stuff up. Considering the direction it looks like that religion takes, I think the direction I will go with the Deverux twins is that they were raised in that religion by their parents, but anything of that sort is going to hurt your soul in order to implement that kind of cruelty. This justifies the part where they were desiring punishment, they wanted to have something stop them in order to take them away from that life. This would justify them having that desire in the first place, as well as what Helen said to them about being life-long slaves. It's something they would already picture slavery as, but it's against Helen's typical view of slavery, but she would have said it like that to them so they would feel secure in being liberated from their old lifestyle that was forced on them from childhood.
