Generations/Stand Your Ground
You deny him his the luxury of your submission and remain standing tall. You see his fist begin to tremble as he grips the reigns tighter. Before you can react, he kicks you to the ground and gets off his horse to drag you off. Your parents try to plead with him, but are swiftly shoved off and promptly ignored.
“Wanna be the big man eh, you little piss stain?” he growls. “You know the legal punishment for this insolence!”
You certainly do, as you are dragged out to a large wooden structure overlooking the field and chained to it, for all to see. The knight stands beside your and rattled off your crime of deliberately disobedience toward a knight representing his lord and the punishment of a flogging.
“25 lashings across the back.” He leans towards you but still speaks loud enough for the crowd that’s now watching to hear. “Of course, you could plea guilty and apologize, and I could lessen the punishment to a mere 5 or 10.”
