The Bike Shop/Chapter 2 Park
Upon nearing finishing his breakfast, Michael decided that a nice trip to the park would prove to be pleasant.
After finishing, he picked up his bike and rode off on his way, hoping to enjoy the sight of the picnics and nature there.
Upon reaching the park entrance, he dismounted and walked through the open field area of the park where most of the people were enjoying the nice weather, and as he looked around, to his surprise, he saw Elizabeth and her parents tossing a Frisbee back and forth. He called them out and made big waves with his arms so that they could notice him as well. They turned around and waved back at him before he came over to the spot they were in.
"Didn't expect to see you here today!" Michael commented before looking down at Elizabeth. "How are you enjoying your bike?"
Elizabeth pouts to Michael's surprise. "I don't know how to ride it. So I didn't get to enjoy it all that much."
Michael feels pity for her for a bit before reverting his mood back.
"It's easy." he told her. "Here, let me teach you."
He found her bike leaning by a tree and brought it to her. He hops up on his own bike, but keeps his feet on the ground to remain stable. Her parents keep an eye on her.
"It helps to push with your foot a couple steps. You'll be off and riding after that."
He demonstrates what he explained, showing it's not hard. Elizabeth looks down at her feet, taking a few steps forward from both of them, placing her feet on the pedals once she feels she has enough momentum. The bike doesn't tip over. She's riding.
She smiles with joy as she rides across the grass and path, her parents smile at her glee.
"Thank you so much." her mother says. "Neither of us have any experience with riding bikes, so we couldn't teach her."
Michael smiles back with a little pride. "My pleasure. If she has any more problems with the bike, let me know."
"Michael! How do I stop?" Elizabeth worriedly yells out.
"Pedal in reverse!" Michael yells back as he cups his hands around his mouth.
Elizabeth obeys his instructions, and nearly falls over to the side when the bike leans after it stops.
