TVR/Brian Johnson/Garden
Reluctantly you give up and go out into the garden. Janet's on the lawn, laying face down looking at something. She is wearing a short summer dress and you can see almost all the way up to the top of her legs.
"What are you looking at Miss Janet," you ask.
She rolls over. "Just some ants. Are you going to mow the grass?"
"No Miss, I am going to prune some of the bushes at the end." You walk away to the far end of the garden, out of sight of the house, and take your shirt off before collecting your tools from the shed. Just as you prop the short ladder against an apple tree, a voice from behind makes you jump.
"Did it hurt?"
You turn to see Janet standing there. "Did what hurt Miss?"
"The pictures on your skin."
She is looking at the various tattoos you had done during your time in the merchant navy. "Well, they did a bit, but I was usually dr... I'd usually had a few drinks which numbed the pain."
