"Come stay with us," you tell her.
"That would be wonderful!" she says, a radiant smile on her face.
You volunteer to host her in your room, ostensibly giving up your bed and sleeping in a sleeping bag on the floor. In 2 days she's moved in.
Everyone thinks of you as a selfless hero. But you have your own motivations.
The first night after she's established, she gives you a smile. "I suppose we'll be sharing this bed."
You nod and join her in it, and she immediately pulls you into her arms.
