Talk:Dirty Talk/Man of the house/Cast
Narrators are not permitted according to the rules. It's only allowed if it is speech/dialogue that the characters can hear. However, radios, TVs and animals are permitted. --MrPib (talk) 02:24, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
I don't see why a narrator wouldn't be allowed. The whole premise was to make it like the old radio shows, who often had narrators. "Last time on Man of the House, Stacy was going to wake up her son. Let's join them now.... Tune in next week, Same sexy time, same sexy channel!" Even the old Adam West Batman show and the cartoon Superfriends had narrators. Stacy is feeding her sleeping son a nipple and Narrator: Meanwhile in the kitchen.... and it transitions to the two sisters plotting to trick their brother into going naked for a day. --Notsooldpervert (talk) 02:33, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
I'm going to have agree with what Pervert said. All the old radio shows had narrators to help move the plot along when straight dialogue or sound effects can't. It's not something that's constantly used, just when needed. Besides, I was using it just as much a plot mover as I am some added humor by making him a bit of a pervert, allowing him to sort of break the proverbial 4th wall and speak directly to the reader, even getting offended by unsaid remarks. However, rules are rules and if this is a complete and total violation, I'll take the story down. I just didn't interpret the rules so rigidly. Let me know what's decided. Thanks. --Blackdragon25 (talk) 04:19, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
The rules do state no narrators, however as long as the narrator isn't telling the story, I don't see it as a problem. It's as much a plot device as the TV, Radio, and Cellphone "character". If Elerneron has a problem with it, it's still a good story premise. Could you not adapt it to leave out the Narrator? --Notsooldpervert (talk) 04:27, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
I disallowed narrators because that allows for exposition. The exercise is to write a story with no exposition. With a narrator it may as well be a normal story. The radio show example wasn't the premise, but an attempt to explain the format. --Elerneron (talk) 06:13, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
